Here’s a triple set of “Thank You”s for PhotoCamp Ohio for 2011.

Thanks to all our speakers who took the time out of their day to share some of their professional knowledge about photography, their success and failures and how they run their businesses.

Nick Fancher, Amy Parrish and, Jim DeCamp and Jay LaPrete selflessly shared their techniques for successful photography. We are grateful.

We regret that Heather Walker wasn’t able to attend due to a family emergency. We will work to provide her workshop in the near future so those of you who wanted to see her fine work can have the opportunity.

Thank you to Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc. for hosting PhotoCamp Ohio. Gallery is a non-profit for the arts in Uptown Westerville centered on arts and arts education. The gallery is also host for Ohio Photo Classes which continues the work of PhotoCamp with a series of educational classes, seminars and workshops for all levels of photographers. Gallery 202 will also host the Westerville Center for Photography beginning in mid-May.

Jay LaPrete shows pieces of his portable lighting kit

Thanks to Midwest Photo Exchange for their continued support publicizing PhotoCamp Ohio.

Congratulations to PhotoCamp Ohio participant John McGuire who won a copy of Photo Mechanic in our drawing.

We urge you to visit Ohio Photo Classes for more educational opportunities for photographers, no matter the level.

Oh yes, we really enjoyed the “20 slides in 2 minutes” presentation by the folks brave enough to share their work with us. There were a couple of you who might have been good speakers for PhotoCamp Ohio.
